Description of Service

Tunnel is a sovereign communication infrastructure platform providing end-to-end encrypted messaging, voice communication, and secure file exchange. The platform operates on a zero-knowledge server architecture where all communication content is encrypted client-side and the server functions exclusively as an untrusted relay.

User Accounts

Platform access requires account creation with FIDO2/WebAuthn passkey authentication. You are responsible for:

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Tunnel to violate applicable laws, harass or harm others, distribute malware, impersonate others, send unsolicited messages, or interfere with platform operation. Violation may result in immediate account termination.

Tunnel Pro Subscriptions

Tunnel Pro is an auto-renewing monthly subscription ($4.99 USD or local equivalent) that unlocks the Encrypted Vault, advanced security dashboard, cryptographic delivery proofs, and emergency mode. Free tier remains available with full end-to-end encrypted messaging.

Billing & Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions are billed and managed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on the platform of purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the rate disclosed at purchase.

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time:

After cancellation, Pro features remain available until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their standard policies. Tunnel does not directly issue refunds for in-app purchases made through the App Store or Play Store. Apple refund requests: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google refund requests: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

EU Right of Withdrawal

Consumers resident in the EU/EEA have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of subscription. You expressly consent to immediate provision of digital content (Pro features), and acknowledge that, by activating Pro, you lose the right of withdrawal once the service is fully performed within the period — consistent with Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU.

Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing in the future. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance through the platform and via the App Store / Play Store notification mechanism. Continued auto-renewal after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Service Availability

We maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Platform modifications will be communicated with reasonable notice. Enterprise deployments operate under separate service-level agreements.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access immediately for Terms violations. Upon termination, platform access ceases and device-level cryptographic material remains under your control.

Limitation of Liability

Tunnel is provided without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from platform use.
