Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Tunnel, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not access the platform.
Description of Service
Tunnel is a sovereign communication infrastructure platform providing end-to-end encrypted messaging, voice communication, and secure file exchange. The platform operates on a zero-knowledge server architecture where all communication content is encrypted client-side and the server functions exclusively as an untrusted relay.
User Accounts
Platform access requires account creation with FIDO2/WebAuthn passkey authentication. You are responsible for:
Maintaining the security of your device and authentication credentials
All activities conducted under your account
Safeguarding device-level cryptographic material
Reporting unauthorized access immediately
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Tunnel to violate applicable laws, harass or harm others, distribute malware, impersonate others, send unsolicited messages, or interfere with platform operation. Violation may result in immediate account termination.
Content Ownership
You retain complete ownership of all content created and exchanged through Tunnel. Due to end-to-end encryption, Tunnel has no access to communication content and makes no representations regarding it.
Service Availability
We maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Platform modifications will be communicated with reasonable notice. Enterprise deployments operate under separate service-level agreements.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access immediately for Terms violations. Upon termination, platform access ceases and device-level cryptographic material remains under your control.
Limitation of Liability
Tunnel is provided without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from platform use.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict of law principles. For questions, contact legal@tunnelmessenger.com
