Account & Authentication
Tunnel uses FIDO2/WebAuthn passkey authentication. Accounts are created with a username and passkey — no email or phone number required. Each device generates independent cryptographic identity on setup.
Device Management
Each device maintains independent key material through the Sesame protocol. New devices can be linked without sharing private keys. Compromised devices can be revoked independently without affecting other sessions.
Key Sovereignty
Encryption keys are generated and stored exclusively on your device. There is no server-side key escrow, no cloud backup of key material, and no recovery mechanism that bypasses device-level cryptography. This is by architecture.

Tunnel is accessible via the web platform at app.tunnelmessenger.com. Enterprise deployments operate on dedicated infrastructure. Contact us for private deployment options.
